Well, this past Friday night was Jetta's first Cubs/Cardinals game. While she has been to a game already this year, this was the game we have all been waiting for (well, at least mom and dad have been). As you'll notice in the pictures, Jetta has her very own Cubs/Cardinals jersey. We have had this idea in our minds for a very long time and was glad to finally put it to use.
We purchased the jerseys over the past couple of years, but finally had them cut apart and sewn back together. We figure since mommy is a Cardinals fan and daddy a Cubs fan, we had to keep it fair. So, once we had it sewn back together, I had her name put on the back and '08 for the year she was born. Once we saw the final product, we loved it.
So, now that the jersey was all done, all we needed were tickets to a game. Shannon was able to get us tickets and good tickets they were. We headed to the game early in hopes to get there in time to catch batting practice. We made it in time to see the Cubs, but not the Cardinals. We took Jetta down by the dugout, in hopes to get the jersey signed. While that didn't happen, we did manage to get a game ball tossed to us from one of the pitchers and then one of the managers came out, saw her and was commenting on how cute she was.

Friday night baseball.....
He told her that he wanted to switch eyes with her for the day, as he said she has beautiful eyes. Then he asked us if he could hold her and so we passed her down. She did okay, as long as she could see us. So, we snapped a couple pictures, which I'll attach here of her with him, down in the Cubs dugout. It was very sweet and a picture that we'll treasure.
Finally it was time for the game to start and so we went to our seats, but not without many people stopping us and telling us how cute her jersey was. Anytime we headed out to the concourse, we got more of the same. Everyone fell in love with it. I had my Cardinals jersey on and Shannon his Cubs, so needless to say, there were plenty of comments about that as well.
While she didn't make it on tv, she was a hit and she seemed to really enjoy herself. So, after years of waiting to be able to have this jersey made for her and for her to be able to wear it, was a great memory for us. It is something we'll definitely keep forever. It is so nice to finally be able to share all of these dreams with her and to have her in our lives.
